Active Re-Entry

Our Mission Statement

Active Re-Entry is a community-based program that assists individuals with disabilities to achieve or maintain a self-sufficient, productive life and live independently within their own communities. We are committed to promoting the rights, dignity, and quality of life of all persons with disabilities. We offer many services and resources or can help guide you to other service providers.

Our Programs

All Independent Living Centers across the nation are consumer-controlled, non-residential, community-based, cross-disability, private nonprofit agencies that are designed and operated within a local community by individuals with disabilities and offer a variety of programs.

Low Vision

Providing education in adaptive techniques, devices, peer support groups, peer counseling orientation, mobility training, information on resources and benefits available to those with low vision in addition to social and recreational activities.

Community Integration

Disability Awareness Programs were initiated to promote sensitivity, open-mindedness, and positive attitudes about persons with disabilities.

Assistive Technology Program

Provided to individuals with disabilities in need to purchase assistive technology equipment, who meet the financial eligibility criteria.

Equipment Loan Bank

This program consists of loaning a wide range of assistive technology devices to individuals on a temporary basis. The loan bank is made up of equipment that has been donated to the Center or purchased through grants. There is no fee.

Youth Programs

Active Re-Entry's Youth Program brings together youth ages 8-24 with all types of disabilities. Come join us and learn new skills, build self-confidence, increase communication and make new friends.

Peer Counseling & Support

A service that matches the consumer to another person who has a similar disability for purposes of sharing experiences, knowledge, support and skills.

Friendly Visitor Program

Designed to offer friendship and support to isolated or homebound individuals through regular home visits or phone calls. Other services offered are grocery shopping, bill paying and assisting with other unmet needs

Music & Memory

MUSIC & MEMORY℠ brings personalized music into the lives of elderly or disabled individuals through digital music technology, vastly improving their quality of life.

PERKIE Travel Program

Free daily transportation service for cancer patients from Carbon & Emery Counties traveling to Utah County for radiation treatments.
